In 2016 Brighton Marina, the little and lesser known cousin of Brighton Pier and all things on offer in the city itself, undertook a major marketing campaign to raise its profile, with live events, website re-development and a range of videos to represent what is actually on offer down there, a couple of miles walk down the beach from the pier.
This full length version showcases everything on offer at the Marina, using on-screen text to delineate categories such as Sports Equipment Hire, Bars & Restaurants etc.
To help gain maximum exposure and impact across various platforms – both the web and social media – Land Securites (the commissioning body) decided to produce a series of videos (full length, 30 seconds, and 10 seconds) first for Summer, and then following the success of that for Winter, where we re-shot certain portions of the piece as appropriate. The thinking behind this being that 30″ is the currently the most digestible fit for social media, whereas the longer version for applicable to the website. Plans are underway to run the 30 second spot in cinemas in Brighton.
